As requested

I haven't blogged in awhile.  I know.  I've had teams here non-stop since early July.  There was a day somewhere in there that had been a planned day off, but plans were rearranged for the team to stay an extra day.  A HUGE blessing to us here, so no biggie.  But still, that was it until August 1.  That will be a day off.  I may go to church and then lay on the bed with a fan blowing on me for the whole rest of the day.
So what's been happening in my non-blogging moments?
Well, the World Cup happened.  There was much sadness around here when Brazil and Argentina made exits from the tournament.  The parts of Delmas (a huge street) painted in the colors of those countries flags suddenly just looked sad.
We added 7 new children to our family here.  I named another one, but this name didn't come from God himself.  It was a practical naming, if you will.  The verse I had been reading that morning was in Luke.  Pierre had been reading in John, so I suggested Jean Luc.  And Jean Luc it is.  He's a little peanut of a thing.
I've been practicing more Kreyol, sometimes with more success than others.  The trick is recalling what I need when I need it.
Last week brought a massive sinus infection and pink eye in both eyes.  I got to go to the nurse.  She takes care of missionaries as well as the children.  I'm still really sore on the left side of my face, so I think the infection is still sitting there.  It's the kind that makes my jaw bone hurt and my entire face ache.  Not fun.  But very thankful for the z-pack of antibiotics a team left for me, should the need arise.
I've had more adventures with our security guys.  The one has decided it is his personal job and mission to keep me safe.  I decided the other day to see if he was paying any attention to me when I wanted to walk across the street to buy a soda.  As I walked past where he was sitting, I didn't say anything, just kept walking.  When he looked up and saw me headed towards the gate, he stood up, and I took off running (I was wearing new running shoes left by a thoughtful kind missionary).  I got to the gate and started to leave (someone had left it unlocked!!!) but decided to see how long it would take him to get to me.  Let's just say I could have been SO gone by the time he came around the side of the building.  "Miss Angie, I will go with you."  So later that day, I decided to try it again.  He was onto me so fast, he was literally 2 steps behind me the rest of that day.  I told him I would never on purpose leave, I was just messing with him.  It's kinda funny, because in lots of pictures you see me.....and my security guy. :)
I realized today that I am one month away from returning to St. Louis.  I'm not sure what to think about that.  I'm actually really nervous to come home.  I know there will be lots of people to see, and lots of stories to tell, but I'm nervous about what being there will feel like.  God's gonna give me what I need there too.
This is scattered and crazy, but it'll have to do for now.  Keep praying for me and the ministry here.  There's lots to do before I come home, and a little time to get it all done.

Haha! I've been playing "Spot the Security Guard" in all our pictures since we go home. It's like Where's Waldo. I have faith that you'll break free yet!
