| Purest joy |
Last Sunday afternoon Pierre called to give me a heads-up about something. A group of about 20 people from
Kids Around the World would arrive at Maison early Monday morning to install a playground for the children. I had no idea what this would entail, but I soon found out.
Over the course of 3 1/2 days, the front area went from an empty gravel area to what you see here.
The children waited all week (sometimes patiently, sometimes not...) for the time to be able to run, climb, and play on the structure they saw taking shape in front of them.
At the dedication Friday, all agreed that this is a huge blessing for the children of Maison, as well as the surrounding community. I shared the story of taking a few of the older girls to church with me in November. They were climbing on the playground equipment at my church and making lists of what we needed at Maison and what we didn't need. They asked if I could get them a playground. I told them I wasn't sure, but that I could check into it. Earlier in the year, the boys who went to church with me pleaded for some of those rocking things on springs...where you sit and go forward and backward. They informed me we needed one at the orphanage. I said I'd see what I could do. Once the playground was finished, I saw that each piece the children had requested was now in place. We did not choose the pieces of this playground, it is simply what we were given. I thanked the volunteers profusely for giving my kiddos exactly what they had asked for. Then we prayed and the children RAN to get onto the structure. I'm excited to see the adventures that will come of this new playground. Thank you so much, Kids Around the World for this awesome opportunity!

What a beautiful gift for our children at Maison! Thank you so much!
Answered prayers are so very amazing. This brings tears running down my face. I love the joy beaming from Pierre's face and the girl sitting on the man's lap going down the slide. What a true blessing to Maison and the children in Haiti. Thank you!
God works such amazing wonders, like making sure all the equipment the children asked for were met! Thank you Kids Around the World for your great gift to our children. Angie, the picture of Fequiere on the slide with his gorgeous smile! I'm in tears. Thank you.
That will bring much happiness and fun to the kids.
