Hello Friends and Family,
I went to visit Rudy this morning. He is very ill. He was put on oxygen yesterday because he had severely labored breathing. Late last night Franckis called and said he had a fever. I spent the night praying. I found out this morning he had diarrhea and vomiting again.
It is very difficult to obtain information on the health of someone at the hospital, so Pierre suggested we go over there and find out what we could. I had cried tears of frustration at the entire situation. It is NOT fair that this little one is in this situation. I am not ok that care is so difficult to obtain. This is not ok to me. I do not want to settle for helping him to live. I want to help him thrive and grow.
A friend had emailed and said that God told her we needed to circle around Rudy, holding hands and singing praise to the Lord, rejoicing in the healing God is providing to him, and forcing any evil out, because darkness cannot exist in the light. When we arrived at Rudy's bed, we (Mary, Mary Claire, and I) did just that. We sang Hosanna, and she sang Psalm 23 over him. We prayed and prayed. We sang Come Thou Fount, and spoke blessings over him.
Pierre spoke to the nurse, and they have put him on the first step of the severe malnutrition program they have. He receives 6 cc's of special milk every 30 minutes. That is all he is able to tolerate. He was very alert, and even grasped my finger with his sweet hand. That is when I cried.
The doctor is also treating Rudy for pneumonia, but that will not be confirmed until his chest x-ray tomorrow. The doctor also thinks he may have tuberculosis.
Dear Ones, please pray without ceasing for Rudy. I would love to somehow know that there is someone praying at every time during the day.
Please also pray for the Haitian doctors and nurses, and Rudy's caregiver we send from the orphanage. The women we send spend 12 hours caring for him. They are truly amazing. The nanny today is one that a team named "Nanny Awesome". She is indeed that.
Thank you all for your love and prayers.
